Welcome to the G. K. Chesterton Society of Seattle

"Great truths can only be forgotten and can never be falsified." — Chesterton

The G. K. Chesterton Society of Seattle exists for college students and adults who wish to learn more about Christian and especially Catholic thought, and to reflect more deeply on the world about them in the light of the Christian intellectual tradition. The Society holds six meetings each academic year on the campus of Seattle Pacific University. Each meeting consists of a lecture by an invited speaker, an extended question and answer period, and the opportunity to continue the discussion and make new friends over pizza and refreshments.

The hero of our Society is the English writer G. K. Chesterton (1874-1936), a convert to Catholicism who addressed the important questions of his day with boldness and wit. In his spirit, our Society aims to provide a witness to Catholic Christianity's passion for truth and engagement with the world.

There are no fees for admission to the Society's meetings and no requests for donations.

A principal financial sponsor of the Seattle G. K. Chesterton Society is the Intercollegiate Studies Institute, an organization devoted to fostering and preserving genuinely liberal education.
